How it works:
Applications opened October 17, 2022 and will close February 14, 2023 - or until the available seats have been filled.
The course begins February 21, 2023. Complete the online curriculum in 9 months part-time or finish faster if you’re able to dedicate more time.
You’ll have weekly 1-on-1 meetings with your expert mentor and optional live group sessions during the course.
Work 1-on-1 with a career coach for 6 months after graduating to land your new software development role.

Start by learning the foundational programming languages for all websites: HTML, CSS, and JavaScript. Discover how HTML and CSS interact to create the visual layout of websites before JavaScript interacts with each element to make websites responsive.

Frequently Asked Questions

Which Amazon employees are eligible?

The program is available to full-time and part-time hourly employees that have been with Amazon for at least 90 days.You must be actively employed to receive annual education funds.

Program access is restricted to employees in certain regions: Dallas-Ft. Worth, Detroit, Los Angeles, New York City, San Diego, San Francisco Bay Area, Columbus.

How does tuition reimbursement work?

The entire reimbursement process will occur within your Amazon Career Choice portal.

The full course tuition is covered by Amazon for full-time employees. There will be no cost to full-time employees.

Part-time employees will have half of the tuition covered by Amazon and will be required to pay the remainder.

Those with other payment amounts can choose to apply their remaining Amazon budget to the program cost, and pay the remainder.

How do I enroll?

There are four steps to enrolling in the program:

  1. Start by submitting an application to the Career Program
  2. Complete the technical skills survey emailed to you
  3. If accepted, you will book a call with the Springboard admissions team to discuss your goals for the program and preferred start date.
  4. An enrollment link will be emailed to you from Springboard, where you can sign up and create your course profile
Are there any prerequisites for this course?

This course does not require any previous software development experience.

Students must be 18 years of age or older and have a strong proficiency in English.

Students are required to have received a high school diploma or passed the general educational development (GED) diploma test or any other high school graduate equivalency examination.

Is this course conducted online or in person?

The entire course is remote and 100% online, meaning you can learn anywhere, at any time. All you need is an internet connection, laptop or computer, and a free Zoom account.
