What is the Accelerate Program?
In cities across the country, Microsoft is launching Accelerate to offer digital skills training and professional development resources to help individuals progress in their careers.
Together with government, community, skilling, and corporate partners, Microsoft’s Accelerate initiative helps to close the digital skills gap and build a more inclusive workforce.
The initiative provides access to in-demand digital skills that unlock new career opportunities, remove barriers for underserved communities, and upskill and cross-skill existing digitally fluent populations.
How do I qualify?
For Atlanta Applicants: do you live in Clayton, Coweta, DeKalb, Fulton, Heard, or Meriwether counties? For New York City Applicants: do you live in Bronx, Kings, Queens, New York, or Richmond counties? For Houston Applicants: do you live in Liberty, Chambers, Brazoria, Galveston, Waller, Harris, Fort Bend, Montgomery, or Austin counties? For Chicago Applicants: do you live in Cook County? If yes, you may be eligible depending on your zip code (more details in the FAQ section)For Miami Applicants: do you live in Miami-Dade County? If yes, you may be eligible depending on your zip code (more details in the FAQ section)If you qualify based on one of the residency criteria above, we may take into account financial need: Have you been unemployed for over three months? This data analytics bootcamp is designed for people who demonstrate an aptitude towards critical thinking and problem solving, and have two years of work experience.

Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills.2 years of professional work experience working regularly with office, design or programming toolsFluency in English (written and spoken), as determined by initial interactions with the Admissions team.

Springboard’s virtual programs are free or heavily discounted by the Accelerate initiative for qualified residents of the cities we partner with, who register through this site. Based on the criteria below, you may qualify for a 100% subsidy:

The Data Analytics Career Track is a 400+ hour course. Most students complete the course in 6 months, working 15-20 hours per week.
You should expect to take the full 6 months, but can aim to complete in less time if you are: highly proficient in Python and Statistics; are ready to devote more time per week to complete the curriculum materials; and are driven and disciplined with managing your study schedule.
