Our commitment to inclusivity

At Springboard, we’re ambitious and transparent with our scholarship goals. Since 2016, we've provided over $2.5m in scholarships, with a commitment to offer an additional $10m through to 2030. Apply for scholarships as part of your course application.

Women In Tech Scholarship

In the US, women represent only 24% of the tech workforce (Deloitte, 2021). Our $500 Women In Tech Scholarship is available for select Career Track programs.

Diversity In Tech Scholarship

Some 70% of young tech workers report feeling uncomfortable at work based on their identity or background (Nasdaq, 2021). Our $500 Diversity In Tech Scholarship is available to any individual from an underrepresented group.
Eligibility criteria:
Identify as a person from any of these communities: Black or African American; Hispanic or Latinx; Pacific Islander; Native American; Alaska Native; Middle Eastern; member of the LGBTQI+ community; gender nonconforming; veteran or member of US military; person with disabilities; refugee

Needs-Based Scholarship

The average US tech workers' salary is over $97k (Forbes, 2021), while roughly half of American workers earn less than $30,000 (BLS, 2021). This $1,000 Needs-Based Scholarship is available to individuals with a current household annual income less than $30,000.
Eligibility criteria:
Proof of earnings of less than $30,000 annually for the most recent tax year via paycheck, tax return or unemployment benefit claim
Must live in the United States or Canada with permanent work authorization
This scholarship can be used in addition to the Women In Tech or Diversity In Tech scholarships

Half and Full Tuition Scholarships

Springboard offers a limited amount of half and full tuition scholarships to students from underrepresented communities and adults with low income. As we seek to increase diversity in tech, Springboard is committed to reducing as many barriers as possible.
Eligiblity criteria:
Identify as a person from any of these communities: Black or African American; Hispanic or Latinx; Pacific Islander; Native American; Alaska Native; Middle Eastern; member of the LGBTQI+ community; gender nonconforming; veteran or member of US military; person with disabilities; refugee

If you’re deemed eligible based on your course application, you'll be asked to submit a written response explaining why you are applying to take a Springboard bootcamp and how this scholarship will be of benefit to you
Career Reboot Scholarship
Springboard has launched the Career Reboot Scholarship to support the tech community in the face of widespread layoffs. We want to help you turn adversity into opportunity — which is why we are pledging up to $1M in scholarships for those impacted by the layoffs. Eligibility criteria:
Proof of prior full-time employment at a US-headquartered technology company listed on https://layoffs.fyi
Proof of employment termination after September 1, 2022. Termination letter and email required.

Partner Scholarships
Microsoft and Blacks In Technology each offer a limited amount of full tuition or subsidized scholarships each month in specific fields.
Microsoft Accelerate grants full tuition scholarships to eligible students living in Atlanta, New York City, Houston, Chicago, and Miami
Blacks In Technology is the largest community and media organization for Black tech professionals. Black and African American students enrolling in the UI/UX Design or Software Engineering Career Tracks may be eligible for a subsidy reducing their total tuition to $1,000

FAQs

How do I apply for a Springboard scholarship?

For any Springboard scholarship, you can apply directly via the main application form for the course you are interested in. In the application, if you express interest in our scholarship program, you will be prompted with a few additional questions to gauge your eligibility for the program.

For scholarships offered by Microsoft, ACCES Employment, or Blacks In Technology, you can apply via the “Apply Now” link on the respective landing pages. Please note these scholarships are limited and contingent upon availability. For information on scholarships offered by our partners, please see above.

Can scholarships be combined?

The Needs-Based Scholarship can be combined with the Women In Tech or the Diversity In Tech scholarships.

No other Springboard scholarships or partner scholarships can be combined with each other, or any ongoing Springboard promotions.

How many half- and full-ride scholarships does Springboard offer?

Springboard offers two half-ride and one full-ride scholarship for every application cohort. In addition to these scholarships, we’ll also be offering limited full-ride scholarships through our external partners (contingent upon availability).

Can I apply for a scholarship with the deferred tuition payment plan?

No. Scholarship payments can only be applied to upfront, monthly, or financed payment options.
